Discontinued Husky organization rail

My home came with this organizer rail to which various hooks could be mounted, but the previous homeowners took all the hooks with them, and I haven't been able to find replacements. Does anyone know exactly what this product is (e.g., by a product number), or how I might find suitable replacement hooks? It looks to me like this is not the same thing as the Husky slatwall system (which seems to also be discontinued - Home Depot Dot Com /p/Husky-Starter-Hook-Set-44099/301110566).

rexer: I think you're right, the Craftsman 10124 VersaTrack Trackwall looks very much the same. I think the Husky branded product went by the name "SecureLock".

LX-Markham: Maybe they could be used to hang cabinets? There's a thread here on GarageJournal , thread No. 126855, that indicates as much. But I have a distinct memory of the hooks. The previous homeowners used them to hang brooms, mops, and those Shark kitchen floor steamer things.

hammerhead611: I am 100% sure Home Depot does not have compatible hooks. I do like the RubberMaid system, though. It works well. Somewhat pricey.

With a bit more research I think I can piece together what happened.

In April 2015 Waterloo Industries recalled the Husky SecureLock vertical bike hook. One might speculate that a consumer was injured by a falling bike and sued the company, or threatened to sue. According to one law firm web site, the vertical bike hook was among a number of products Home Depot continued to sell even after the recall. It's a good bet that rather than just recall the bike hook, Home Depot decided "better safe than sorry" and killed all of the SecureLock hook products.

I haven't even been able to find them on eBay for the last year.

I can 100% confirm this. I had an extra rail left over after the cabinet install that I thought I would use elsewhere for utility hooks. Could not find hooks that would fit that style of rail.

Great for hanging cabinets tho.

Thanks. I mentioned that thread three posts above, but couldn't link to it because I'm new here. Still can't even quote your link. I guess I'm in a catch-22.

Same as Craftsman Versatrack. I have both Craftsman and Gladiator track systems. Studied the Husky stuff close when it was available to verify it was the same as Craftsman. I know Craftsman hooks will fit Gladiator track, not sure the other way around, haven't tried. But Gladiator Cabinets will hang on Craftsman track, I've tried that.

UPDATE: I bought Craftsman Versatrack hooks. They do fit, but the locking feature does not arrest trackwise translation. (Is it supposed to?)

I can confirm this- I have both of these rails in my garage, because Sears was out of stock when I went to order more cabinets. The Husky and Craftsman are 99% identical (iirc, the husky is slightly thicker). Can also confirm that the Husky and Craftsman cabinets that attach to these are also identical, other than the design of the doors. The husky ones were cheaper, so I got more of those and made craftsman logos for them (lol)

I have some of the craftsman attachments other than cabinets, such as a basket and some short and long pegs to hold brooms and such. They fit on both brands of track. I think Husky had similar accessories as well.

Its also made so you can attach pegboard between the top and bottom rows. But being that it wasn't cheap, I used a small piece of trim to hold the bottom of my boards (went with 4x8 sheets of white plasticore, figured it looked better than painted cinder block)

I haven't seen it for sale in a while, guess you have to order online now. But I would love to get more eventually. Very good product.

Are you saying they don't lock? My craftsman mounts (mind you they could be different now, I bought these right when versatrac released) work on both fine.

If your saying they lock, but still slide left and right in the track, the craftsman ones do if you force them, but I've never had one move from actual use.

They "lock" only inasmuch as they prevent pulling the hook off the track in the normal direction, i.e., perpendicular to the wall. Even when "locked" the hooks still slide easily transversely along the track (i.e., left and right). A hook slid all the way off the track will come off the track even when "locked."

I’m late to this party but I just used some craftsman hooks on a husky rail. I put a folded paper towel under the top of the hook to keep them from sliding left & right. My bikes are nice and sturdy now.
