I am starting on a garage re-do and had my heart set on the New Age Pro series systems. I liked the fact that they were 18 ga steel vs their 24 ga line. That being said, I was about to pull the trigger on the 8 piece set when I said to myself, dummy, go in the garage and do some measurements. The pro series tall cabinets are 85" not counting the legs which in my case would need to be adjusted almost all the way open under the garage door for leveling, needing close to 90" of clearance. I measured from the bottom of the door track to the floor and only had 84.5" of clearance. Bummer.
So, my question here to those who have either the New Age cabinet systems in either gauges: will the 24 gauge be worth it. Does it truly feel flimsy or does it come together nicely once assembled? I really liked the 24" depth of the Pro but I also like the compact design of the 18" Bold series for additional floor clearance. Sure do wish New Age made the 77" high cabinets in 18 ga.
Your thoughts and ideas will be appreciated. Thanks.
