Hi, installed a polypropylene floor in the garage. Have been using 1/2" plywood under my jack stands and floor jack so as to not put dents into the floor. Was thinking about getting some steel pads welded to the feet of the stands. I figure a 4"x4" plate of 1/8" thick would do it under each jack stand foot. Too much? Too little?

For the floor jack would just have a 12"x12" piece of steel I would position as needed. Your thoughts?

Thanks!
