They take up alot of floor space and I'm considering a pair of smaller pieces under my workbench. I've seen some nice examples here using US genral 44" boxes.
Thoughts? I'd really like to have some space back as the space under my workbench is utilized poorly and I could use the floorspace for more shelving and get more vertical use. My two car garage just needs a makeover.
Thoughts on the US general items vs homak? I go through the drawers and there is just too much stuff in there that doesn't really need to be in a toolbox. Books, car parts, odds and ends etc and not just tools. I'm confident I could fit everything easily into a pair of 44" like these.

If you posted pictures of the space you are working with we could better assist you.

I've only got a two car garage to work with so I ended up going with a 41" combo and I'm still sorting out how to best use my available space. The HVAC/water heater closet robbed me of usable wall space as well.

Can you get "other stuff" under your workbench to reclaim space from them? Bending over for tools all the time is not fun.

How deep are the HF 44's now? 18" or have they gone to the new 22"?

I assume your Homaks are 24"D and believe me, an 18" box will seem awfully shallow by comparison.
