Plan to use ditra under my mudroom tile, curious to using a leveling system when laying tiles, will be laying 6x24 or 18x18 tiles. Not sure yet, any suggestions.

First thing is try and get the sub base as flat as possible so when the Ditra goes on it is also flat. Make sure your thinset is mixed right if its too wet the tiles will sag and of course if too stiff not enough coverage to adhere well. Spin Doctor has some looks good I have not used them, have used the plastic lift (Raimondi) that you slid a wedge on top. Main issue is it's hard to break off some of the tabs so you have to use a utility knife to score it. That's all I got, good luck.

I used Ditra with the cheap tile leveler from Home Depot. Worked great and looks perfect. BACK BUTTER THE TILES!

First time tiling and I just used a Ditra mat. Hardest part for me was putting thinset down first then putting the Ditra mat on top and using the rubber trowel to squeegee/push the mat down. I found out at certain points I used a bit too much thinset in places which caused more work to work it out of the side of the mat.

Overall I'm very pleased. I cut it and trimmed areas with scissors. Way better than cutting a backer board that would have gotten dust everywhere.

Some pics. I have a thread on it too. So far so good and for my first tile job I'm quite pleased.

Yes! You must back-butter! I got the QEP lash clips and yellow wedges from HD. I used the clips on my floor and also on highly polished wall tile and it worked great.

NewShockerGuy, it's looking good. Glad the Ditra is working out for you.

I used Ditra in a mud room several years ago over 1" Advantech subflooring. So far no problems.
Beware of using leveling clips with the 6x24 format tiles. A lot of them have enough bow that you can't make the clips work.
