Hey guys—

Has anyone done an epoxy type floor by doing half the garage at a time?

I can’t completely empty my garage without a bit of work. Would be so much easier to do it this way!

Thanks!!!

That's how I did my shop in NY. Not only that the two halves were done something like six months apart. I used that expansion cuts as a seam and it worked just fine.

It can be done. However without a saw-cut in the middle you will have a visible start-stop mark.
One way to disguise is to run a contrasting stripe up the middle.

Good luck.

For these types of projects we normally would recommend our SPGX one part Polyurea as it cures in just an hour or two and you can do the job in an entire day and get your 'stuff' back inside by dinner time (we recommend leaving the vehicles out for a day or two but they can be locked. As noted above without a natural saw cut or break start/stop could be visible unless you went with a full fleck broadcast which should hide that issue.
