When i am driving in city traffic at 27 mph, my valves tap. I wonder if car may need new spark plugs. The car also sometimes cuts off during the first 20 minutes of driving. The car has 103,000 miles on the same spark plugs. I have not a good idea of what is wrong.

Also, it would be good for me to have a wbsite that I can go to and pick up knowledge about care diagnosis and car repair.

does the check engine light ever flash when this happens? 100k is probably due for spark plugs. Your lifter tap may be another issue.
