DIY / Containment mat questions?

Winter is right around the corner. I plow snow with a 97 full size Chevy K3500 pickup and an 8.2 Boss V plow. The truck is kept in a heated garage.

When I get done plowing, there are times it takes close to an hour to melt and squeegee the resulting water into a drain. If I let the snow melt by itself, I end up with water running all over the floor...under cabinets, toolboxes, etc.

I have been looking at containment mats, but am very concerned with long term durability. We have a long gravel driveway and wonder if rocks stuck in tires could puncture the mat? The plow will also be setting on the mat, but could have wooden blocks under it to help protect the mat.

I also want a mat that is smooth and solid enough to be able to push the water into a drain easily.

Finally, I need a mat that is easy / quick to pick up and store when not in use so I can get my floor space back to be able to use creepers and floor jacks when working on equipment.

Does anyone have any experience with a mat that fits all of these?

Has anyone made a DIY mat? What material was used? I wonder if a roll of rubber roofing would work? It is sold in various Mil thicknesses. I could make a wood frame that could be taken apart easily and the roofing could be rolled up and stored in the front of the garage.

ok....lets here your thoughts / experiences?

If price is no issue the Krauss surface saver ( I swear no relation) is probably the heaviest on the market. Our product, The Tru Contain is very durable and has worked very well for our customers. We have literally sold thousands and no real warranty issues -- but a couple customer service replacements.
