I may have to call around a couple of welding shops/propane shops in the area.....

I want to make/get a 25 footer lpg/ng hose to hook up between my gas feed and generator . The reality is , I DON'T expect to use this - MAYBE once every 8-10 years. I don't want to buy junk though.

Was leaning in just Parker LPG HOSE, but I cannot find a source online that sells it per ft...

Any other idea's , suggestions on a 25 footer DIY hose.....

Any decent industrial supplier that advertises hose making should be able to make that hose for you.

What's the overall goal of this "temporary" gas line setup??

Do you have a "Standby" generator that is intended to supply electricial power for whole house during electrical outages?? This what you're referring to likely only happen once in 8 to 10 years?? If so, you've got damn reliable electric!! Where are you located??

For me, I live in city environment house that has lost power about 10 times in just a year and half!! However, 60 to 100 mph winds, and close calls with tornados explain most of those outages!! :D Worst outage so far has been about 12 hours.

IF you have stationary whole-house standby generator, then I recommend proper buried yellow plastic polyethlene pipe and risers on each end . . . then black pipe steel for above ground. No use messing around with above ground "solution" that might leak (especially hose that can get cut).

Which do you have . . . . LPG . . . or Natural Gas ??

I get a brownout maybe once a year ....30 minutes to 4 hrs at most.

Portable Gensets. 2 EU2000i. Stub out for NG gas right outside already.

For that short of an outage, you might just pursue a tri-fuel setup on your generator. If genset is liquid petrol (ie gasoline) as "normal" fuel, then running on 20 lb BBQ-size bottles of LPG (propane) would be best setup IMHO. This would give you best portability.

Now would be good time to Update GJ Profile with at least Country and State, or City & State if in USA.

I just finished a tri fuel setup.
The OP was soures for DIY LP hose fittings/etc....or something that was of quality but I did not want to spend over the top bearing the usage frequency. I'll take any USA hose, etc..

I found my Parker hose at a decent rate ....$2.75 ft. Just need to find the right fittings....yeah, I know, proper way is a crimp hose. There are other various *quick connect* fittings that I'll just cinch up with a hose clamp. It's not a permanent install nor is it used frequently. I just don't like to buy overseas bunk...

All the shutoff valves in my house are usa or canadian made, etc, etc.

Depending on how much pressure your gas feed runs on you may have to regulate the gas to get your generator to run properly. When I hooked up my whole house generator up to propane, I had to get a both high and low pressure regulators for the pressure to be right.
