I recently looked to replace the heating and cooling system we have in a garden room and got a quote for a Mitsubishi Mini-Split system for $3,500. Needless to say, I went back with my $825 PTHP which I seem to have to replace about every 7-8 years, but it got me to thinking about heating and cooling the garage where a PTHP would be difficult to install due to the brick exterior.
If I put the same Mitsubishi or a comparable Fujitsu in myself it looks like the cost would be around $1,750. Has anyone done this and if so what was your experience with it?
