DIY/Tinkerer Gift Ideas?

I drew my favorites list and fulfilled wishlists for a DIYer/tinkerer/hobbyist gift guide.

There are a bunch of other tools I left off the list, mostly because I'm going to put together a weekend warrior idea list if I have the chance.

• Drills - Milwaukee M18 Fuel
• Impact driver - Bosch 1/4" hex 1/2" square (ETA spring )
• Ratchet (Gearwrench 120XP definitely)
• Screwdriver set Wera Kraftform?

Anyways, for you fabricators, hobbyists, etc, what would you add to this list?

Nobody? I have $75 in gift card rewards for Amazon and haven't a clue as to what I could possibly get with it. Looking for out of the box ideas.

If you don't have one, I use a black and decker workmate on about 75% of my home/garage/diy projects.

For a DIY'er I'd recommend this over the Hakko station:

My father has a Canadian-made one that I occasionally "borrow." Newer ones feel like they'll blow away in the wind in comparison.

I have all of Bosch's 12V drill/drivers in my test kit, use them to compare any new 12V drills that come out.

For a DIY'er I'd recommend this over the Hakko station:

Why? Hakko = exact temperature settings for more efficient soldering of electronic components. For larger wires or copper tubing, the Portosol does make a lot more sense.

DIY'ers don't typically do lots of soldering where precise temps are critical. Versatility and portability are more important factors to this crowd IMHO. The Portosol kit does come with tips appropriate for circuit board soldering though. (and heat shrink tubing tips!!)

I don't think it'll do copper tubing.

It does depends on your definition of DIYer & tinkerer. In perfect world, I'd have both.
