DIY Woodriver Screwdriver Kits

Apparently there are screwdriver kits that you can buy and attach to any handle.

Has anyone tried making there own? And are there alternatives for sale? Like the snapon ratchet mechanism?

Seems like a good buy. I don't have a lathe but for such a small part, a drill press could be made to do the job. The question would be how much back drag does it have. So far every ratcheting screwdriver I've put my hands on has had more back drag than my hand does.
