I happened to look at CL while waiting to leave for a Dr. appt and found this cabinet for sale. I contacted the person selling it and it was a mile from where the Dr. office. I went there and it was in good shape. She took $60.00 for it. I can't wait to get it cleaned up and put it with the other ones on the wall. She also had an old GM Diagnostic tune up machine there. She said she wanted 100.00 for it. If anyone is interested in it, contact me and I can send you a picture and contact info. The Tech Tire Repair cabinet is from an old garage that I worked at 35 + years ago. I ran into one of the brothers that I worked for and he gave it to me, Ed.

Self suckage is highly frowned on... one must wait for it to bestowed upon....

Sort of like giving yourself a BJ vs getting one from the wife/GF

You are not capable of self suckage, next time if you want one of us to **** you, you can't just ask. We need to be romanced into sucking you, try some roses and chocolates, it is almost Valentines Day.

Not sure what part of NNY youre from, but $60 is pretty heavy in that area for those newer cabinets. Summers 08+09 I was hitting 1-3 dealership auctions every week between Rochester and Albany and saw many of those for $5-10, occasionally less. Even with the economy a bit better now, $25 is about the going rate tho folks usually ask about double on craigs. If they were something vintage 50s or older tho, $60 would be about right.

Sorry.

From a technical observation the OP is inquiring "if" he deserves a "You ****", for his score as opposed to say, "Can I please, please get me a "You ****", gimmie, gimmie" or "Do I ****.... Damn right I do". I would surmise that the only the OP truly knows in his heart what the intent in his question is.

However, should he be actively seeking Suckage in a self serving manner, then he should go out immediately to find appropriate packaging for shipping the items in question.

This is the only way to redemption and should be executed before morning.:lol_hitti

I will never go out in the garage and look at that cabinet the same way again, Ed.

In case you didn't know.......

"There are plenty of threads in which to post new aquisitions, scores, buys, etc.. It is entirely up to the board members viewing your thread to determine if your score if worthy of a "you ****". "

"On the other hand, by automatically posting an item in a you **** thread you are removing the board member's opinions on your item. You may think you got a great score but, others may not. There has never been self sucking or self praise here. You post what you acquired, how you acquired it, and let the members opinions roll with the flow. You may think you **** but, others may think that you're just holding something in your mouth"

I will however say that "you lack adequate pressure" aka "there is a slight vacuum being created in your general vicinity". Nice find.

Regardless of the OP's current "you ****" status, this response deserves at least an extra 25 comedy points for making me snicker. Enjoy them sir, they were earned!

Let ask the board, if a deal is truly outstanding and exceeds a simple,"You ****" can we agree the next award is an, "I Hate You!"?

Since it came out of a shop you worked at many years ago, there is a chance for sentimental suckage. In my opinion you may have over spent a bit. It is a nice little cabinet though.

You did not follow the Garage Journal rules of suckage, so you no longer qualify for a full fledged "You ****". I will however say that "you lack adequate pressure" aka "there is a slight vacuum being created in your general vicinity".:lol_hitti Nice find.

Well put, Jeremy. While you are disqualified from receiving a "you ****", you DO, however, get a hearty congratulations on picking up a piece from a place you worked so long ago! Must be nice to balance the memory of working there every time you open that cabinet with the joy of not having to work there any more!
