Hey all,

Building a screened porch and wiring some outlets in the 6 x 6 box around the outside perimeter. You can see the conduit coming up with a wire that will go to horizontal outlets. Do I need to put any kind of bushing or anything on that or can I just run the wire to the outlet straight out of the conduit?
There will be a top board completely sealing it in.

You can put a PVC connector with a bushing on it and seal the top of the bushing with duct seal to keep bugs out.

I would cap that pipe with a female thread adapter, then screw into that a UF squeeze connector.

You can do what Chuckster said. It's better than leaving it as-is, but it'll be fine if you leave it as-is.

Edit: you can do what rlitman suggested. I wouldn't bother.

While conduit sleeves in the case of the sleeve for your UF are not required to be accessible, I would personally run conduit continous between 2 boxes / pull points and pull proper conductors between those pull boxes.

How long is the sleeve that you are pulling the UF through?

As for whether a cap is required, I would put a terminal adapter with a nonmetallic bushing on it at minimum, but if the conduit goes to another junction point or the sleeve exceeds 8' in length, I would not use UF and would have a continous conduit between pull points.

Just my thoughts.

Other end goes into the crawlspace. Once final connections are done I will seal the conduit end but I am not anticipating anything because the the end in the picture will be completely seald
