Do I need a second ground rod for small garage sub-panel (CA)?

I'm in the middle of a new 200amp service box install and I'm wondering if I need a second ground rod for the sub panel to bring it up to code (100amp in an attached garage). The sub-panel in the garage is already there, which feeds the A/C condenser, Welder outlet , 20amp outlets and lights. My main reason to replace the sub-panel is to get rid of the pushmatic breakers, and up the sub-panel from 60amp to 100amp.

Since I already have to get the new service inspected, I figured I would have him look at the new sub-panel, so their are no surprises if we ever sell this house. I also do not believe this sub-panel ever had any type of permit when it was installed (many moons ago).

Is this garage attached or detached? If attached, no rods are required.

if the garage is attached the subpanel does not need a ground rod (or other grounding electrode) at all. It does need a 4 wire feed from the main, with isolated neutral and ground bars in the new subpanel (meaning the neutral bar is not bonded to the panel and there is a seperate ground bar that is). Do some searching, this has been covered here many times.

Thanks for the responses.. I figured no ground rod needed, but someone stuck their nose in the mix earlier and the question came up.
