So I'm walking around the Offshore Technology Conference today, like I have every year for over a decade, and decide to swing by the Ingersoll Rand booth. I've been admiring their cordless impacts for a while and decided to play with a few they had on display. One of the reps tells me they're having a drawing in about 5 minutes so I decide to put my ticket in the box and hang around. If you haven't figured it out yet they called my number and i'm now the proud owner of this https://www.zoro.com/ingersoll-rand-cordless-impact-wrench-12drive-w5152-k22/i/G5489027/!

I'm starting to think my compressor and IR air tools aren't going to be getting a lot of use anymore.

Anyone have any experience with this set?

Nope!!!

However, had you just posted that you won this impact at a trade show, you might have. Instead, you missed suckage by that much....

Apparently I was sick the day they taught "suckage etiquette"!

I can only hope that there will be an opportunity for me to **** correctly in the future.

TC

P.S. If it helps any I won this impact, a Bosch jobsite radio and a Springfiled XDS all in the past 4 months...

No you don't....
First rule as said is you can't **** yourself.
However that aside sucking is for scoring a great deal.
You won a contest, the best you can hope for is a 'you got lucky'
However because you pandered in the first place, you don't get that either

If you win something, just post a thread saying "Hey, look what I just won!" and you will get all the sucking you can handle around here.... Asking for suckage will get you nothing. lol.

You're trying way to hard..... and now that you told us about those other items in this thread, you cannot get sucked for those, either.

Thanks to all for the lesson! I'll do it right next time. Seriously pumped about the impact though.

This has helped me realize though that I can't help but laugh when I hear/read "****" or "balls". Kind of thought I would have outgrown that by now.

NO, you do not ****. One shall not ask to ****.

Ship that impact to me and your mistake will be forgiven. :lol_hitti

Post more often. It's great to hear (well, actually read) thoughts and opinions from as many people as possible.

You cannot ASK for suckage.....

THIS...and besides...you never get it if you do...at a trade show and at ho...well you get the point...

I would say you have a nice tool...but that would not be very good either...for the suckage part that is...

The only rule you technically broke.
2nd rule is you have to post the price you paid. Free is OK.
3rd rule is you have to post a picture of it.

Still, it's a great thing to win.

Well, theoretically Trock03 only ASKED if he sucked. He didn't proudly say, "Hey, I just got this incredible deal for free and I ****."

So I think we need to give him the benefit of the doubt and give him half-suckage.

I don't know why people can't understand this? Your friends can **** you, you can **** your friends, but you can't **** yourself, even GJ has decency limits.

Congrats.

IMHO, suckage is only for used/vintage items obtained free or at little cost. Winning ANYTHING at a raffle does not earn suckage. SOMEONE was going to win that- your name got picked.

OTOH, If I pick up a vintage flying lady Plomb tool chest from the scrap yard for scrap prices because some one got rid of it right before I dropped of my own scrap, THATS SUCKAGE WORTHY.

Again, just IMHO.

In my opinion, suckage is for anyone who got a great deal on anything, regardless of the age of item. A great deal, is a great deal, whether it's brand new or a 100 years old..... and the best deal you can get is FREE. If something was found, or given as a gift, or won in a drawing, it was still FREE, which is a great deal and suckage worthy.

You just can't ask for suckage, that's all.

The amount of luck finding a "vintage flying lady Plomb tool chest" at a scrap yard, is the same level of luck required to win a drawing, IMO.
