my 1 1/8 I use for my alignments has been going strong for 7 years. 400-500 alignments and hasn't let me down. Really the only sockets I've had to replace are the impact 12point.

impact sockets (in my experience) wear out before or before being worn out, break.

the driven end starts to round a little but the fractional end starts to look more like a circle.

i have a 5/8" swivel socket here (impact) and its more like a loose 11/16" but not quite a 3/4" yet

My father kicked this dealer out,bad service mainly. Now go down to one down the road in my area, home at most weekends. When I had a Mac dealer come in,I handed the dealer a worn out 15mm deepwell impact socket in 1/2 drive and he replaced it with no problems.Came from a set I bought on Ebay.Snap On does make some good tools.

wafrederick is actually quite entertaining, does know a lot, and is a good sport. All the hearsay is actually good for some good natured fun.

They will, they're made of softer metal to absorb the impacts and aren't like hand sockets which are harder and much more brittle. Warranty depends on the company, I know Grey pneumatic doesn't warranty warn out parts
