Need some replacement parts for my Echo trimmer and blower and the Honda Lawnmower. Do we have a preferred online supplier of parts or just get them where ever?

I’ve had good luck with ereplacementparts.com. Rebuilt two Honda GX motors with parts from them and if they aren’t OEM they sure feel/perform/seem like they are.

ereplacementparts has a catalog that isn't infuriating to use, and schematics. So I use that site. All the parts I've ordered have been OEM.

Miss the "Alpha Lawn Mower Shop" that was in Falls Church VA
Have an old "Yard Broom" handheld Homelite blower, the primer bulb finally cracked. E replacement parts,Jack's Small Engine show "no longer available" for carburetor kits and such things for the model.
The once clear simple plasticy primer bulb is obviously smaller than the ones (I have several) that fit the Stihl FS 130 brushcutter. I am thinking of filling the old bulb with silicone gasket goop and letting it set up so as to make it hold suction
I guess I could try taking the old one to the small engine dealer that I think still exists in Vienna VA and see if they can find one that matches
I think there are fewer people and fewer shops that deal with small lawn and engine equipment than there used to be

I use ereplacementparts for lots of electric power tools, with no problems.

I’ve used Jacks exactly once for some oddball part only they seemed to have, no problems either.

I use Boats.net for Honda parts. I've used Jacks in the past but they left me hanging for weeks on an Echo part that was actually no longer available - I called Echo. I like Jacks but if it is something weird I call to make sure they have it IN STOCK. HLSProparts/HL Supply is good for aftermarket/chinese parts. There is a place in Florida that does Echo, they have a few different internet sites, but they dont stock parts and charge your card as soon as you order even though it may be weeks before you actually get the part. I will often check the address posted on a new site to make sure it is a true storefront and not just some UPS store type place.

There is just no money in small engine repairs. Parts prices are crazy and add 1/2 hour of labor and you are past what anyone wants to pay to fix anything.

Lot of the crowd we'd get seem to still think it's 1980 and $20 fixes a mower, saw, snow blower, etc.

I put into place a 1/2hr min labor policy ($45) and that helped weed out jobs that kept the place busy but didn't seem to keep the lights on.

I have it easy, I work for a city so I fix what I can, order the parts I need. If it is something major I just get the autho to order parts from the supervisor. After 15+ years in the motorsports service industry, I am DONE dealing with customers. Maybe I will do side work after I retire in a couple of years but no BS customers allowed.

Ereplacementparts and Jacks, and all the others out there, all have weird quirks in their interfaces and gaps in their coverage, so I go with whichever one aggravates and gouges me the least in that particular case.

I think Jack's has been the winner most often recently because they seemed to actually have stock at the time I needed whatever it was.

Yeah, this is basic stuff. Just going to replace the fuel lines, and do some basic maintenance. The tank grommets are leaking so its best to just replace all those parts, maybe throw a plug and filter into the mix as well. Trimmer is leaking, blower is same age so I may just order all the parts to service both machines. Bought them new in 2009 and they have run trouble free year after year. Perfect for me.

Echo has service kits that has all the fuel lines and everything you need. I put one in a roadside find trimmer. <$25 and I had a like new trimmer. My SIL a has it now.

And at least 2 free coffefees and a handful or 3 from the candy dish while jaw jacking at the counter when it's very clear we need to get on with work.

It gets frustrating when people drop off neglected junk and expect $20 fixes.

Sir, your saw was a $100 throw away unit in 1987, as and that company went away in the 90s. What do you expect me to do?

No, im.not spending hours all over kingdom come looking for $10 of parts

There's a bit of money in higher end equipment, people don't mind spending a few hundred on a 10 or 20k yard tractor, $2000 chainsaw, etc.
