For some reason this thread just made me realise I don't have a single 5-gallon bucket at home.

I have a generic white one, so I guess I'm "Non-denominational"

I get oyster buckets from the restaurant above the dock I work at in the summer. No branding like oil and chemical buckets I used to use. Plain white, I usually throw a sticker on them so I can prove they're mine, and rope handles. Probably have about 5 like that.

I do have an adams bucket from theire mystery bucket sale, and two chemical guys buckets because I wanted to make sure the grit guard and lids for car washing fit.

One guy operates the siphon hose, another readies the bottles, and another corks them......it was an afternoon affair.

Do they soak the corks?

Absolutely. A day or two ahead of time they are put in one of those buckets, with some water and submerged, until we need them.

My buckets kind of show up in multiples. Awhile back a neighbour gave me a bunch of buckets that had contained soap. Next was a wack of pails that had contained oil and grease. My next bunch will be yellow.
