filler you mean bondo? how do you build tools out of bondo?
me yes to fill in missing places to complete things as i need or find them on sale. but i don't buy a tool just to buy a tool unless im having a bad day and find a great deal, which makes my day nicer.
for example
i was in sears a couple days ago, ive been needing some longer 1/2" drive extenstions. found a 6" usa(8" was china, didn't want but would have bought one if usa) so i bought that, but not the 15" one that i can't see myself using right now.
also bought a 1" 3/8" drive 6 point socket, as ive needed one soemetimes but i do i have it in half impact. sometimes the impact socket is too big. then i found a 3/8" drive 6 point 5/8" socket that i wanted to replace my spark plug socket in my road toolbox with. its nice not having that rubber inside the socket at times.
