Do you buy tools you don't use?

I pick up lots of stuff I don't need then about once a year I purge the box and sell the stuff I am not using, I also buy lots at auctions for something I need but there are usually lots of things I don't need, now I try to go early and get a cardboard box of the stuff I want and set it somewhere then I only have to bid on the one box.
