Best home use was installing a oven in the kitchen. Lawn mowers and such ? they are already a foot off the ground might as well pick it up a little further and put it on a table.

I don't have one, if I was in that business I would but for a few pieces I make do and really don't have a lot of small stuff. The mower and golf carts go on my car hoist.

I have the bigger of the 2 from harbor freight. When I built the stand for my 4' brake and welding table, I put cross pieces about a foot up so I could move those items with the lift table. Works good for unloading heavy **** from the truck and for a quick adjustable height table.

I have a bigger one too...

It's a mid-lift. A piece of plywood makes it a table. And it lifts cars. :p

If I didn't have three tractors with buckets I would definitely have a hydraulic table.

I have an in floor one. Use it all the time. For tractors and other machines. Makes an excellent work bench that disappears.

Excellent feedback pro and con.

Last year I built a work bench 8' x 24", I am restoring a 75 BMW2002 and have put a lot of hours on the bench and in the garage. Two lessons learned for me; 8' is nice but not necessary, 4' is all I need the remaining 4' is better referred to as a shelf, 2. rather then have 8' of stationary bench rolling carts are more versatile. My garage is 16'x24' so I need to be space efficient.

I'm going to cut my bench in half and make room for the hydraulic table. Big work gets done in the middle of the floor and the lift will be nice to have.

thanks for the responses

I have one in-floor that I use for everything so I dont have to crawl on my knees...

I have extentions so I can lift my motorcycles too, probably the best thing I invested for my garage :)

I have a hydraulic cart that I refer to as a table. As far as I'm concerned I couldn't live without it. It is used every single day I'm in my shop.

Yes, I have one and use it often. Mine raises to around 38" and my work tables are 36" so anything that fits on it that I need to get up on a table, I use it. It saves me from having to maneuver my forklift through the maze :eyecrazy: of equipment.

I traded for a 7,000lb. scissor lift like you see at a tire shop, removed the arms and replaced with a 4' X 6' 1/4" plate. It is about 4" off the floor so I put a 10" piece across the end for a ramp. Pull my garden tractors right up and raise them up to a comfortable height up to 48". If I want to use the lift for it's intended use just unbolt the top and out the arm's on. Not bad for $0 invested in it.

I've used one for over 15 years now, everything from dropping engines to using it as a welding table. I'd wouldn't be without it. Get one with good wheels and over 1000lbs capacity.
