I have about 10 laptops and 4-5 desktops in the garage right now. (I've got some recycling to do)

But the real answer is yes, I have a dedicated PC for the garage with a 21" screen wall mounted on my workbench. Also have the 24" tv with cable box. I love having the computer in there for music, youtube videos, parts lookup, forum browsing etc... and it keeps the grease off my work laptop when I need to look something up in the middle of a project.

At work they have computers on a 3-year cycle per employee (a university). And while the laptops are rentals the desktops are bought, so at the end of the 3-year cycle the university sells them off for 15$ per tower so I usually end up buying 1-2 of them every 2 years or so and replace my desktop in the house and in the garage that way. Cheap upgrades for the amount of computer work I do at the house.

Not me, my phone is fine 99% of the time. If I need to really code the BMW then I need the laptop and wire but that is quite rare. I can do most basic stuff with Torque, or Carly for BMW and a bluetooth OBDII

Got an old iPad plus my phone. Watch YouTube videos, order parts, research whatever it is I'm doing or listen to whatever tunes I feel like at the time. Personally wouldn't want to go back to the times without some of this technology.

I have a desktop for the cnc plasma table that also is used for web surfing and research from time to time. Have an 8in tablet that connected to the shop stereo and shop Wi-Fi for music.

i had one in my detached garage at my old house. used it for videos and music. had it setup for dual screens so i could have a video playing while still looking stuff up.
since i moved to my new place, it got too cold before i could properly set it up. i went out to my shed where all will be and saw that the shed has housed some critters and birds. now i gotta get the holes filled to prevent my unwelcomed visiters from eating my wires and speakers before i want to get the more expensive stuff out there.
i will have an access point out there since my cell phone doesn't get reception

No! I have my iPod in the Bose player and that is it. No wireless and almost no cell reception in the metal building. It is just fine!
