Do you own or use a pneumatic nailer?

Do you own or use a pneumatic nailer? I'm just curious.

I occasionally use a Ridgid brad nailer, but might pick up a Bostitch pin nailer to complement it.

I have a Paslode pneumatic coil roofing nailer and a Paslode pneumatic brad nailer, I had them for years with no problems. I also have a cordless Paslode framer and a cordless Paslode finish nailer, both are excellent tools.

I own several air guns, Dewalt framing and angled finish nailers, and a Porter Cable Floor stapler. All great quality for the home user.

We own a Bostitch finish nailer and we have a Porter Cable framing nailer that travels back and forth between family members.

When I move out I will probably buy a framing nailer shortly after that.

Only have a little Porter brad nailer that I bought to do crown molding around the house. Have used it for a couple of other projects since but it mainly lives in its case...

No issues so far with the $17 HF 18g brad/stapler.

Yup, 4 of them. 3 HF specials and one Porter Cable. As far as I can tell, the HF pin nailer is the exact same unit as the Porter Cable only in blue. Never a single problem with any of them. They do not get used very much though.

I guess I'm odd man out. Hitachi round head framing nailer, finish nailer and brad/stapler. Never had a problem with any of them.

Nothing wrong with Hitachi, they're great nailers. I built an addtion to my house with one.

I have a Bostitch framing nailer that uses the clipped head nails. I have since learned that many town building codes don't allow for these clipped nails to be used. I have no idea why, since they are just about impossible to pull out. The newer models now use a full round head nail.

I have a Craftsman framing nailer. I have only used it for a few projects but it is exclelent. I also have an angle head finish nailer NONAME brand. It works but is poor quality. All the fittings came loose, it tends to jam and parts are hard to get. I used that alot when I was a contractor. That said it is the most usefull of the nailers I have. I also have a CH brad nailer and it too is a jamomatic. I have a new Stanley brad nailer to replace it next time I need one.

Senco brad and pin nailers and Porta Cable angled finish nailer. Never had a problem with any of them and am so spoiled using them I'd hate to do without them.

Whats the longest nail a pneumatic nailer will drive? I need to drive 16 or 20 penny nails? What would you guys reccomend?

I have a couple of the Bostitch that I like very well
I also have the Cman brad nailer/stapler and one that is just a brad nailer
all have performed well

i own a hitachi framing gun and roofing gun . a bostich crown stapler. 2 paslode finish nailers . 2 cractsman brad nailers . a senco framing gun. 2 senco wide staplers. the bostich gun is the only one i have ever had problems with.

My Hitachi (NR90AE) will drive up to 16 penny (3 1/2) nails. I'm not aware of a framing gun that will go much more than that other than the Senco 170311 and 170312 4" nailers. Those two are VERY pricy though as they sell for around $900.00

Thanks, thats the one I was looking at. I plan on using 2 inches of foam under my outside sheathing so I need a long nail to get thru the foam into the stud. I may use screws? Plus it would be easier framing using a nailer

Porter Cable full head framer, Porter Cable 15 gauge finish nailer, Senco narrow crown stapler, Bostich Roofing nailer, and Taiwanese brad nailer. Been happy with all of them, but did have to put a kit in the brad nailer.

a mere single Dewalt 18 gauge brad nailer, does up to 2" brads, works good on trim, baseboards, etc

I have the Ridgid 18 gauge brad nailer. Works great for me! Its takes 5/8 to 2 1/8 inch brads. Great for trim, and all my woodworking projects. My wife used it to reupholster a chair too.

I have a set of Campbell-Hausfeld nailers. Framing nailer was great for the fence I built. I haven't used the brad or finish nailers yet

If I were to buy a new nailer I would get a Paslode for convenience.

I got a mastercraft (Canadian Tire) framing nailer on sale for $99 last fall.
Works great, I've used it for a couple of fair sized home reno projects.

I've also got a Prime brand brad nailer thats been working great for 7 or 8 years now.

I have Ridgid framing, angled finish, brad and palm nailers. The finish and brad nailers seemed to get used alot more than the framing nailer though. The palm nailer works great for those areas where you can't fit the framing nailer.
