Nope, I have a set of metric and standard....Craftsmans.

I never have used them in the 2 years of owned them.....I just use a spinner handle and 1/4 drive sockets....because they are right there in my socket drawer.

Agreed, never really got the point of using nut drivers, another expense, less room in the tool box for other stuff, and you can use a 1/4" drive speed handle, or what have you.
-tried to find it on mactools.com but their site is terrible now. I use a locking 1/4 extension with a handle at the end that also accepts a 1/4" drive ratchet. Love this thing, I put a universal 8mm socket on the end for hose clamps, or have the normal assortment of 1/4" drive shallow and deep sockets to use with it - way more practical than a set of nut drivers.

I think vim tools makes them for mac

They have the old designs in there hot biy section cheap....3/8 &1/2 DRIVE

What are some of the common uses for nut drivers?
I used to have a set, but never used them.

I'll use a socket on a 1/4" handle now and then, but most of the time I want a ratchet, or an extension and a sliding T handle.

I use 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13 mm for auto repairs. I really like the hollow shaft Witte model. I also have the extended length Witte that I use occasionally. Both styles of Witte nut drivers have different style handles. Both are very comfortable and enhance turning power

Under dash work is what i use them for.

This gearwrench kit fits the snappy handle.

Never use them. It has been years. When I had few tools, for some reason I had a set. Used them back then. Find I just grab 1/4" socket and handle when on occasion the type of tool is something I desire. Truly, unless I worked on electronics all day long, can't see any reason for them. Found them to be nothing but redundent clutter in my box so they are long gone and not missed in any way.

Use them all the time, but I do electrical and electronics work, where they seem to be used a little more than in the automotive world. Great for tightening terminal lugs, ground screws, stand-offs, etc.

To drive nuts!!

In general they're easier and faster for applications where med-low torque is needed. Their hollow shafts are invaluable when the stud is long.

Using a common socket, you'll often find that it won't reach the nut.

This. Basically where a shallow socket won't work and a spinner/deep socket combo won't fit. (or if you have deep broached deep sockets and need to start a nut.)

I have nutdrivers, I almost never use them though. I'll dig them out if I know that I'm going to be doing a lot of under dash work on an older car.

How deep is the hollow shank? How big are the ODs of these? Thinner than the average socket? I'm particularly interested in the 3/8" for junction boxes. Nice that they interchange with the snap on ratcheting handles.

I use my husky sets quite a bit for under dash work and for radiator hose clamps. They are a bit clunky, but good for starting bolts in things before they need to be torqued down.
