Hey guys.
Here are some pics of my 20X20 garage. In the few years I've lived here the garage has gone through several phases. When we first moved in the wife and I painted a few murals. Then, I inherited a section of bowling alley and made a huge, low-slung workbench. It was great for hobbies and woodworking but kind of useless as a true workbench.

I had quite an extensive list of honey-do's for the wife to include a studio for her pottery, a pergola, an office, so on and so forth... The list literally took me three years to complete. My reward for finishing her list (which continues to expand :D) was carte blanche when it came to my shop. Granted, it's not going to have cove molding or fancy trim like the rest of the house, but, it is going to eventually become more of an organized garage and less of a pit.

Enough chit-chat... Here's some before and during pics.

The first bank of cabinets and my revamped workbench:

This is what I got done over the weekend:

And here is the next victim... It's going to be a combination workbench and laundry folding / supplies station:

The plans are to complete a couple more banks of cabinets to include a narrow cabinet so my wife can safely store her Jeep doors and accessories. Then, paint and then on to the floor.

Well, that's it for now... I'll post up some updates as they come.

Looking good so far...like ten pounds in a five pound bag...kinda like mine. I dig those murals...too bad theyre all covered up. They're still cool. Did you build all the cabs? If so, what kind of construction/plans did you use?

Good luck with the rest of it!

A man after my own heart, Jeep and VDubs.. I too have a honey to do list before I can get in the garage. Still a dirt floor but it is 14meters x 7meters with a 3.5meter ceiling height.
Its my dungeon as it is under the house due to the sloping block of land we have.
But there is 63 Karmann Ghia type 1 waiting to be freshened up in there.

Keep us updated on your build.
