If you do a little more digging you will find that the "dor" part of Baldor originated when Edwin Ballman started a motor company with Emil Doerr in 1920.That thing is probably older than most members of this forum. Doerr hasn't been around for a long time. BTW, I believe only the motor was made by Doerr - the saw was made by ??.
