Does a "keyless"/quick release die grinder exist?

I can't seem to locate it,i'm not sure if one even exist.

It seems like a good idea, w/o having to fumble around with wrenches to release the collet, it would speed up time.have anyone seen anything like this before?

I'm thinking something like a chuck or the quick releases they use for air hammers.
With a grinder spinning at about 20K rpm's it would have to be secure.

i looked before but couldn't find one. While looking I did find that mac makes a reversible air grinder though. Or at least used to.

Air die grinder or electric die grinder ? Metabo makes 2 electric die grinders (GE 900 Plus + GE 700) with spindle lock so you only need 1 wrench instead of 2.

Fein makes this slow speed die grinder (4500 rpm) with chuck (ok still 1 wrench needed)

my workaround to that is to have a bunch of grinders. instead of switching attachments, I just grab a different grinder.

I've seen one in use it was use less. it spat a bit out in an engine bay, the guy was enlarging holes for a windscreen wiper- he found a nice scribed line up the winshield! just use a chuck- cabe tie it to the hose or something.

if u los ur grinder spanner-
On an 5 inch grinder. If i'm working with gloves on and need to change a grinding disk.(turn it off first) I just hold the button, hand chop the disk in the opposite way, spin the collor off, change the disk, spin the collor back on and hand tighten, then grind again. I learn't this from a good friend of mine on the mines. If your 50m up in a EWP a grinder spanner is one more thing you can drop! I don't recomend recomend this, especially if you have soft hands- make sure wearing glovers first, I just do it cuz it's what i do. and i'm a macho, macho man LOL

Die grinders have pretty tight run out requirements for the collets due to the high speeds that they run, so a QC connection used for bit drivers in their current form wouldn't cut it. Not to say that something couldn't be developed though.
