Does anybody have Atlas copco Tools ?

I just traveled to a mining expo in northern Ontario, and atlas copco was there showcasing some of their stuff. They had this impact wrench on display, and I tried it out. All I can say is that its a beast! 7g ft/pounds is pretty crazy!

we use a lot of atlas copco for our hydraulic breakers. those things eat concrete for breakfast.

I have a Atlas Copco air rivet gun I snagged NOS of feebay and I use it as an air chisel/hammer. It is a freaking beast. They are true industrial tools; a step above even the best Snappy/Sioux stuff. The retail price on my little rivet gun is almost $1000, which takes an industrial use environment to justify.

Hundreds, maybe thousands... in our manufacturing facility. I would own some personally if I had the means, they are good tools. With the amount of abuse they get here in a year, I have no doubt they would be "lifetime" tools for the individual or even pro owner.

Depends on the tool and tool category - I have only encountered one tool from them and it's in my shop (customers) waiting on their decision to repair it. It's a Cobra MK1 gas powered hydraulic breaker. Runs about $4K and this one needs about half that in parts and labor. Every 6 months or 200 hours the unit needs a 5 hour tear down/inspection/rebuild. Parts kit for that is about $500. That parts kit is just seals/gaskets/soft parts - if the inspection finds a worn hard part.... unit in question has scored gas piston/cylinder also.

Our fleet has Bosch and Hilti electric units and an IRmx90 pneumatic - all of which have less maintenance and according to a coworker who used all of the above, will outperform the AC. Maybe this particular application is not a shining example for AC, but it's the only experience I have with them.
