I was in Lowes the other day looking in the plumbing section to see if they carried Ridgid (and no, they don't) and ran across this Superiot Tool Company and noticed that their shower and tub sockets, drain removal tool, and flaring kit are marked Made in the USA. So I picked up the flaring kit for $19.84.

Does anybody know anything about them?

I've come across some well made vintage Superior tools over the years. Definitely seems like a bang for your buck kind of company. They've been in business since 1947.

I've seen a Superior Tool Company from New Haven, Conn. Just found an old tool I had from them today, as a matter of fact. A crimper for brass fasteners.

Good pipe wrenches too. Made in Spain (or they were). I also got a USA made smooth jaw channellock type pliers right before they went to China for them. Their website used to boast "Made in USA" but more and more of their stuff is from China now.
