I'm looking for some more information on the battery adapter that Ridgid provides with their new heated jackets. It looks like this:

It appears to have at least 1 usb port and I am hoping that the port into which you plug the jacket is the same universal round port that Milwaukee and Dewalt use. I currently have a heated Dewalt jacket but all my other tools are Ridgid and I would like to consolidate if possible.

I have attempted to find a part number for just that adapter but it does not seem to be able to be found anywhere. I even called a parts distributor and when the woman ran the model number for the jacket, she couldn't even find that.

The part number for the adapter is :

R86071 18V Power Source

You would have to call Ridgid and get one direct from them, they do not sell them separately. However, Milwaukee makes an M18 Power Source with the identical specs, and they are for sale around $30....I am releasing a review on in the next week or so. VERY useful item.

As far as cross-compatibility between heating jackets go, I know that Milwaukee jackets with work with Milwaukee & Bosch batteries/adapters......but the Bosch jackets ONLY work with Bosch adapters/batteries. Not sure about the other brands as of yet....

Just in case anyone else stumbles across this in the future, I was able to get a replacement part number from Ridgid directly.

The part number is 019501003701. To buy it directly from Ridgid is going to set you back about $60 shipped. I was able to find one online vendor that had it for about $46 shipped.
