I have the Lowes version of it. Mine is a v twin instead of vertical cylinders.
It is quiet also. I have had it about 6 years, no issues.

Do you need the portability? I've got a 60 Kobalt that doesn't seem too loud.

In that case I would prefer the v shaped compressors over the side by side twins. Tell them at Lowes if it's too loud you're going to return it. Heck you don't even have to tell them. Buy it, if it doesn't meet you expectations, return it.

I've occasionally wanted to have portability but the extra capacity was worth going to the 60 gallon. For the times I need to use it I just got some more hose. If you're going to do much sanding I'd still go with the 60. Tractor Supply has one on sale for $399. If you want to move it, get the 30.

Thanks. I appreciate the insight. When I mentioned that I "...occasionally haul it around..." I mean, put in my truck and take it to a different work site.

How is you Type-65 build going? Here is a shot of our FFR.

The coupe build is going slow. Put some together and take other stuff apart.

I've always thought I would like to have a portable compressor like that but never got around to buying one.

I've had the same Craftsman 2 Hp for 24 years now. Sanded/Painted a half dozen cars, sanded down dozens of stained interior doors, a major overhaul on a 57 CrissCraft, nailed off a few roofs and for the last couple years it has served double duty providing pneumatic air for a CNC Mill and coolant mist for an automatic surface grinder

You can't beat em
