Does anyone have any ideas on making a bottle opener?

There are so many bottle openers out there that the easiest would be to do a Google Image search and find one that is cool looking. O have seen them made from aluminum that a buddy is making and sent me one to ones made out of rifle shells, and everything in between.

It's not hard to come up with one. As long as it catches the top of the bottle cap and the edge of the cap at the bottom, it should work. The biggest thing is just making one that looks unique. You also want to make one to mount on the wall with a catch can underneath. A catch can could be made out of anything from a plastic container to a soup can.

Of course you can always do like we did years ago in our teen years......use your door catch on the car, or the edge of the counter. :lol_hitti

I've been looking online, I was thinking something made of steel... Haven't seen one that I like yet.

It doesn't get any easier than this.Made from broken hockey stick you put the screw under the cap edge and push down not up on the other end.Make it from steel if you want but hanging on a brass chain wherever you like it soon becomes a what the hell is that comment.
These are good at the lake because they float.

That's my 2¢

One nice idea I've seen is to embed a strong magnet below the opener to catch the caps.

It can be as crude or fancy as you want, of course.
