Does anyone have experience with this ratchet extension, with internal gears? Maybe a 3/8" drive version...It seems like it could be a handy, good idea.
Bought at Sema 2012. Used it once to break an exhaust nut loose in a v6 Mazda mx3. Two guys pulling on a 6 ft pipe with the car in the air. The nut finally let go and we were both surprised how this thing held up.
Never used it again but when I need it I know it’ll hold up.
Essential for bumper removal and install and fantastic for plugs fuel rails and coils. They are super handy but not as needed now that long neck cordless ratchets are so easily obtained.
I have (I believe) all the TiteReach models.
They show them used with impact wrenches, but I've never been able to break anything tight loose with one.
They are chain drive so you basically loose all your torque. They work fine with power tools after breaking things loose manually.
I usually have to make up reasons that they would be helpfull. The small one is excellent at adjusting the headlight on the battery side in my tacoma.
Get yourself the Facom, USAG, Mac or whatever SBD variant. It's more expensive but at least you won't throw it against the wall as a means for anger relief.
