From what I've read about the Cat phones they're pretty nice. If I had the money to buy a new phone I'd probably grab it. The flir camera seems really neat, and will most likely allow the phone to retain value after it's hardware is outdated. Cat went with Bullitt Mobile, which is a UK company. Bullitt Mobile makes JCB phones, CAT phones, Kodak phones, land rover phones and a couple other products.

It is easy to get the same results using the FLIR ONE for Android, you get the same resolution Lepton sensor. Plus you can remove and it transfer it between phones if you upgrade.
