Damn; now, that's rural!

He can't tell you through this site. Bad blood between the respective admins.
Just Google "GJ bashing extravaganza." People I am friends with who go to that "other" site tell me they have at least one such thread per month![]()

I don't know why anyone who would buy Harbor Freight tools would post on Garage Journal anyway. They obviously are just interested in cheap so why the interest in a tools related forum where people are passionate about tools?
Hard to be passionate about ChiCom tools that smell like left over Kung Pao chicken.
I'll duck now too.

Wow, I didn't even know there was a dark side. I just had a look, I see most use the same user name here as they do there... I wonder if I have a twin there I don't know about
Ignorant, retarded posts like this are one of the main reasons I quit showing up. I've spent almost $4k on snap-on tools this year (ALL tools, no box or anything), so I'm no hf poster boy. I do however, have hf tools that have been working on $20 million+ business jets for nine years, and still get the job done, day after day. Are they as good as their Snap-On counterparts? Of course not, I would never claim that. Do they get the same job done? Yep.
When I can use them professionally for that long (and there are many others here that have used them professionally for WAY more years than me), it seems pretty stupid to tell a home owner that they need to buy a snap-on wrench that costs 10x what the entire hf set did, just to tighten a hose on a damn sink once a year.
I had a major issue with one user on here, due to this very reason, although it seems from what I read, they aren't around any more.
This board is about helping people, whether it's a professional mechanic, or a home owner that needs help on how to replace a toilet. Not everybody here is a mechanic, or regular tool user, and certainly not everybody on here needs the best of tools.
Shoot me a pm, I'll check back to get it answered.![]()
