Does anyone know what year this vise was made?

Flip it over, it probably says Made in Japan. That is a great vise I have one just like it I bought in 1980

Yep, if it doesn't say "Made in USA" (we're not seeing the other side but I supposed you'd have noticed if it said USA on the other side, they did make a similar one in the USA) it's most likely made in Japan and will be stamped on the bottom as said above. I got one (long gone) somewhere in the early 80's.

From my Wilton page, "The best way to identify them is the (Columbian) Craftsman model number begins with “506”. Warren Tool Company then began production in January of 1973 and I believe Sears used the model number prefix code '391'."

Like mentioned above, flip it over and you MIGHT find "made in Japan," (outsourced) but not all were. These vises were Columbians purchased by the Warren Tool Company, Ohio. Then later purchased by Wilton.

I just flipped mine over. Made in Japan

391 is the "Made in Japan" prefix on that vise.
