im looking for a good inflator gauge. ive used the milton s506 style at work, and it just doesnt cut it. its great for car tires, but filling anything like semi tires or anything past 80 psi just takes forever to fill. this is with the compressor set at around 125, our big shop compressor is set to 140. im looking for a better quality inflator gauge, ive seen "fast fill" ones made, but the gauges only go to 60 psi. i would like 120 or 150 psi for filling semi tires. price isnt a concern... maybe someone on here has used something decent. an accurate gauge would be nice too.

Perhaps it's slow filling bc it's restricted by the schrader valve. I don't know too much about it but when you replace a tire and set the beads onto the rim, the tech always take out the schrader valve

it is not the shrader valve, its the valving inside the milton inflator gauge itself. i can put a regular straight "lock on" inflator and fill the tire up FAST. maybe ill just find a nice quality gauge to use instead.

I haven't found a better inflator for any price.

I'll stick with my Milton "stand off," thank you.

im not hating the milton. i honestly think its very good for $30. its really durable. it will outlast anything else you can buy. i just dont think it works well for semi tires.

Idk what brand mine is but I bought it off the cornwell truck. Its the design with the guage and inflator in one. Perfect for dual sets.

I also bought one off the truck for semi tires but to fill loader tires and ended up building my own. Just get a ball valve, T fitting, grease gun replacement hose and clip on chuck then get fitting from your local hardware store to assemble it. Put the pressure gauge in front of the ball valve so you get tire pressure not tank pressure and get a hose as long as you need, then you can hook up the chuck to the tire, open the valve and when you figure its up to pressure shut the ball valve off to check. Works great and its hands free.
