The conduit box is the little square housing on any electrical motor where the wires pass through from the motor.

I'm wondering, say i have a half hp dayton electric motor, a vintage drill press, and i want to mount a switch to the motor itself rather than running wire and appropriate terminations to an electrical box somewhere on the machine. Is there a manufacturer that makes a switch and switch plate to mount directly to the conduit box?

Thanks

you could change the box out for a box that will fit your needs, other than that I have never seen accessory boxes like you describe. Your best bet would be to surf some of the motor manufacturer catalogs and see what you can dig up

Grainger used to have those products but they seem to have been discontinued.
