Or do I have to cut and weld some 1/4" round stock to extend the normal ones?

I have the Cman/Kastar set, and twice this week I've needed them to be a couple inches longer for access in recessed areas.

I can't find long ones on google. I suppose I can buy another set and start cutting/welding.

I've never seen long thread chasers, but hey make tap extensions and extra long taps. Both are handy.

I just grind a slot or two in a bolt with the same pitch and size or use a tap

Grinding slots sounds good. Don't want tap...

A pulley tap is another possibility.

Looking for a pulley thread chaser pretty much...

Magnetic socket on locking extension work?

Won't work, at least not this week. The hex head was hitting the side of the workpiece, so the shaft on the chaser needs to be longer.

Thanks all.
