My 40+ year old bamboo rake is coming apart and when I search the local stores, HD, Lowes, ACE, Walmart for a replacement, they only show steel or plastic versions. Are they just as good or better than bamboo?

I have bought a number of tool handles from House Handle Company. They have some unusual ones too (I looked for years for a round-profile handle for my strawberry hoe, and found it there).Bamboo rake? Didn’t know such thing existed.
Another rake that seems to have disappeared is the double sided bow rake. Ours broke and it looks like I’ll have to get another handle for it because I can’t find another double sided one.
