I am researching buying an AC lift single post lift, and comparing to Gemini.

They do look just alike, and Gemini claims they are the manufacturer for the AC lift. Gemini has some horrible customer service reviews on the web, while AC lift has great reviews. AC is about $1k higher. I'm thinking I could put up with some aggravation for saving $1k, if they are the same lift.
Does anybody know the skinny?
