Does hf sell replacement toolbox keys?

Can just keys be ordered with the code on the lock?

I'm guessing I already know the answer but hope I'm wrong

I believe yes.. you’d have to call harbor freight customer service and do it over the phone like you were ordering spare parts.. I DONT know if it would be EXACTLY as easy as just a parts order trying to get specific keys - but i imagine you could always get matching locks with keys.. a couple people here have done it. Ive ordered extra parts for the tools boxes, (shelves for the lockers) over the phone, and with having the part number it was seriously a 5 min painless phone call from start to finish.. it was the easiest parts orders (i did it two times) I’ve ever done..

If you dont wanna call, you can email them, but it takes longer to get a response.. like 2 days i think.. i emailed them to get the parts number, called to order.. it was painless for me to do that.

Look and see if there is a number on the back of the lock, you can probably purchase the key. I did that for the tool box that was in the bed of my F250 that I purchased a while back, previous owner didn't have the key (I find that odd... I keep multiples of all my keys in a key box... but whatever, maybe I'm more organized than I give other people credit for)

I just looked up key numbers online and ordered a few.

Much easier to just unclip the lock assembly and run it by your local locksmith and see if he has them in stock, or has to order them. I got new locks for one of my buddy's boxes for less than the cost of ordering a new key from the box vendor.

This is a tubular lock? A locksmith should be able to make impression from the lock and cut a replacement.

Regardless, cam locks are cheap and swapping out the lock should be easy.

Also might want to look at EasyKeys.com I bought from them for standardized keys for my boat glove box and storage holds. It was pretty reasonable and quick.

Find some plastic tube (pen body) and jam it in there and wriggle/work the thing around and you might just find you'll be able to open it. Experiment with motions, you might be surprised at how quick you can get into it. If you manage to get it open, remove the lock and get a conventional keyed lock, just plain easier in the event you need a replacement key in the future.

Well I was trying to find pics of the exact same keys on google in hopes you could specify a key code and order one and I found this one that are identical to mine but I doubt they will let you pick a key number

A short number like 514 isn't the actual bitting, but rather a proprietary number specific to the manufacturer that has to be looked up in a listing.

The actual bitting is a 7-8 digit number that gives the depth of each cut.
