Does RaceDeck offer any insulation value?

I'm wondering if the PVC flooring like RaceDeck offer any insulating value over a bare concreter floor. I presently have my floor tiled and it is cold in winter time to work on except where I have the rubber floor mats to stand on. I read an earlier post that RaceDeck may possibly have tiles in the future that have the work mat texture (I believe Swisstraxs has something like this) and was wondering if that type of flooring would result in a thermal break on concrete like rubber mats do.

Well you aren't touching the bare concrete so I have to think it would help some. No personal experience, just an observation.

It does sere as a true thermal break, but because it's not continuously contacting the concrete surface (grid on the bottom) then they probably can't sell it as an insulated flooring tile.

I believe that technically, no it does not.

However I can tell you for sure that my garage "felt" warmer and more stable after putting it in. Also my back feels warmer after getting up instead of laying on cold concrete.

I was going to say the same thing. it's not exactly insulation, but you aren't standing directly on cold concrete anymore

Would be pretty easy to check with an ir temp gun. I would guess that there would be a difference.
