You want an 18' flex at a good value get an EZ-Red
This is a GREAT ratchet

This interested me, but the few reviews so far on Amazon were enough to scare me away. 3 out of the 4 reviews so far claim it broke on them in short order, and one of those says same happened on the replacement.

Looked around Snap On and didn't see an XL flex 3/8. Same thing with Matco. They both have >15" 3/8" long non-flex, but not seeing any flex.

Not Snap on, but the new Mac 90 tooth is available in 18 inch and flex. Part number is XR1890FPA.

Snappy makes an 18 inch breaker bar in 3/8 drive.

So make your own by adding a flex head

This. However, Be prepared for a little grinding. your ratchet head won't fit without shaving off a little bit. The breaker bar square drive head is a different width than a ratchet head. I highly recommend it though. I really wanted a long flex head. I went and checked out the Mac, and meh. it was okay but the price was absurd. Not a huge Mac fan to start with. I bought the 3/8 breaker bar and though disappointed it initially didn't fit a ratchet head, a bit of careful sanding and some lube = my favorite ratchet!

Not yet. I'm sure they'll come out with one soon. I have the long 3/8 one though I freaking love it. I use it for way more than I thought I would

OP is looking for a flex head that's that length.

EDIT - the SX80 is actually a 1/2" ratchet despite being listed as 3/8" on Snap-on website.

Yeah, I saw that afterwards. SX80 is flex head I edited link above.

Weird Snap On has that SX80 is a 3/8 ratchet hidden in the 1/2" dr ratchet section. No wonder the OP (and I) wasn't able to find it.

For a company that charges as much as they do for tools their website is really disappointing and they apparently don't give a ****. Like they have the FN100 listed as a "3/8" Drive Compact 100-Tooth Swivel Head Ratchet", but it's a fixed head ratchet, not a swivel. I've used the feedback link to report that a couple times more than a year ago. No replies. Doesn't get fixed.

EDIT: Is it a 3/8 ratchet? Under specs it says it's 1/2" dr.

"Square Drive, inches 1/2"

S series is indeed 1/2 inch, the copy is wrong. The 3/8 drive always has an F in the ratchet p/n.

Figures. The Snap On website really could use some work. It doesn't leave a good impression.

I have to wonder how much they're losing in lost sales on stuff they have that people looking for it can't find or stuff like that they have listed incorrectly that later gets returned.

Another that comes to mind is their new 1/4 dr extra long flex comfort grip (THLLF72) is buried in 'non catalog items' with no specs listed and no picture.

https://store.snapon.com/Non-Catalog-Items-1-4IN-SFT-GRP-LNG-FLX-HNDLRCHT-P9805878.aspx

If I hadn't seen it in a video I wouldn't know what it was from that listing. I don't reckon they even really want to sell any of those.

I have the Mac 18" 3/8 flex and it is a really nice ratchet. All of my other ratchets are dual 80s. I may try another Mac. It's a really nice product.

so the sx80b is a 3/8 or 1/2 inch ratchet?????

It's a 1/2". It wouldn't have an 'S' in the title if it was 3/8".

Snap On really should fix that title on it's site but, for the same reasons I went into in previous posts, I'm betting they won't.

cgrutt should probably also edit his post to reflect it before someone here gets confused if they haven't already.

Done, sorry for any confusion I thought it was 3/8" based on description on Snap-on's website. Should have know it was 1/2" based on the "S" code... My bad.

I know the OP was looking for 18" flex but just to put this out there the FHLFD80 (Hard Handle) is almost 13" and the FHLF80 (Soft Grip Handle) is almost 14". Both are of course 3/8" drive flex head SO.

Phew the sx80b almost had me pissed as I bought the fhlf80a which is I'd say 13" in real life not 11" as others has said as I wear size 13 shoe and it's same size and bigger that my foot and I'm very disappointed on the size being so small really snap on is behind on xxl flex heads. I bought the 18" tekton ratchet on black Friday when Miejers had bogo and got the USA made screwdrivers for free and spent under $30 and I love the ratchet which is dual paw and 72-80 teeth and it's strong and the screwdrivers while the handles take a little getting used to the tips are strong and black oxide shanks are nice and I just love the #0 long shanked screwdriver with a normal size handle instead of the being a precision screwdriver like most others and is great for electronics. Love the company Tekton has great prices and warranty I suggest you check the ratchet I bought out but it's not a flex. I'm trading my fhlf80a in on the 1/4 flex head soft grip which is 12" long so only loose an inch and I'm going to buy the cornwell flex my snap on guy is cool plus the ratchet has a very bad deep deep grind mark on the tip of the head and It isn't keeper quality anyways.

Made one of these today had to grind a little on ratchet portion since breaker bar has narrow joints compared to flex ratchets it's in the middle with soft grip until I get new hard handle to match the rest

The SO guy had the 13", 3/8" flex with soft grips, you got a free vintage sign with it if you bought it, hard to decide on 162 bucks for that ratchet or half for the gear wrench 120 tooth.
