Which tools would that be? Are you talking about something like drop lights or latex gloves?
Anything like that plus many electronic items are made by outside companies. We all know CDI makes many of their torque wrenches. Hand tools and tool boxes are Snap On made, but lots of other stuff isn't. During the purge they got rid of lots of people at corporate and farmed out lots of products and discontinued slow-selling stuff. I'm not saying it's bad. You can't make everything. You can go to their website and figure out what they make:

Challenger Lifts
Louisville, Kentucky

Mitchell 1
Poway, California
Vehicle repair information and business management systems

Pro-Cut International
West Lebanon, New Hampshire
On-car brake lathes, related equipment and accessories

Snap-on Business Solutions
Richfield, Ohio
Leading solutions provider for electronic parts and aftersales business performance and improvement data

Snap-on Diagnostics
Lincolnshire, Illinois
San Jose, California
Handheld and PC-based diagnostics products, service and repair information products and diagnostic software solutions

Wheeltronic Ltd.
Mississauga, Ontario, Canada
Vehicle lifts

Listed below are the primary North American manufacturing locations.
Algona, Iowa
Tool storage units

City of Industry, California
Torque measuring products, calibrating equipment and specialty tools

Conway, Arkansas
Under-car service equipment

Elizabethton, Tennessee
Hand tools

Elkmont, Alabama
Hand tools

Louisville, Kentucky
Vehicle lifts

Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Hand tools

Murphy, North Carolina
Power Tools

Yup, it's amazing how many different names/companies Snap-on owns these days.
