Does such a hinge exist?

Is there a type of hinge that allows this type of movement? Flush on the outside corner at 90 degrees and flush on the two outside surfaces extended at 180 degrees?

Edit: Sorry that is upside down. Hopefully you can still imagine what I mean.

I'm not sure that is going to be possible because of the geometry required. There isn't going to be a single rotational point that makes that possible. It would need to rotate and then slide the thickness of the panel.

Yeah, I think the geometry is going to make it impossible. It will work with a sliding base though. This should be fun!

A hinge like you want......No.
But you can add a full radius on the right hand hinge, and a half radius on the left hand hinge

Some of the European cabinet hinges may come close but won't be perfect
How close do you need it to be?

It doesn't need to be perfect, but I'd like to keep it within 1/16".

I'm thinking I'll build some custom hinges at this point.

I don't think those will quite get me where I want to go. I wanted 100% inset when closed and flush with the outside edge when open.

I've got an idea on how to do a custom application and I think I'm going to take a stab at it.

Unless I'm seeing this differently than you, the back of the chest would be your door and vice versa.

You are absolutely right. I just checked out their "technical document" and I was visualizing the motion wrong. That is exactly what I need.
