Does such a plug exist?

So I need 4-6 of these right angle style cable plugs. I need them to be 12 gauge and to be at least 15 feet long. Now one idea was simply to purchase some 12 gauge -40'C cable and cut it up.

The problem is I can't locate the right angle plugs as you see here. I was able to find some similar 14 gauge, 15 feet, right angle computer cables at mono price but the shipping was just insane for four of these cables!

If anyone has a link that can get me these right angle plugs so I can just make my own that would be great.

Good luck with that. These were molded assemblies and I have never seen a separate plug like that. Worse yet, most were 14 and 16 gauge. Started out in the electronic instrumentation field, Hewlett Packard started them with one shaped almost the same but for round pins, then came the square shape for rectangular pins.

No, but I will . . .

This is supposed to be a IEC plug no? All I need is this style and worse case scenario if it isn't right angle its not the end of the world.

But, I would prefer that it is right angle so I don't have to make the test rig I am building larger.

You're going to have a hard time finding IEC C13 connector cables in 12 gauge when they only have a single C13 connector, as the C13 is not rated for 20A service.
In a Y or W cable, sure, but not in a 1:1 cord.

A 14 gauge SO custom cable with the right angle plug would run you $51 though.

IEC C13's come in straight right, and down. You're asking for a right.

Also, I have found that the split IEC connectors are nowhere near as strong as the molded on variety.

I would suggest trying 300V SO cord instead of 600V. The insulation is thinner, and may fit in the clamp better.

You can also pot the connector in hot melt glue or even epoxy as you close it, for something that takes impact a little better (if your first attempt breaks).

I believe you're correct. 600V might be too thick to close up the two clamps around the three wires. I just tried to order the 6 clamps, but Fawken Amazon says the seller won't ship to Canada!

I sure hate living in Canada sometimes . . .

Oddly enough I'm in this same situation . . . . I've got 2 Hewlett Packard 6P printers and they both require that right-angle electric plug.

Those cords are generally only 5 or 6 ft long.

I can't find / still missing one of those cords so I may have to manufacture one of my own as well.

The plug(s) are for some solar equipment I have for a project. I need the 90' plugs to allow me enough cable. The routing is very tight and every inch counts so the 90' plug will save me 4-5".
