Does this Kennedy box miss anything?

Hi guys, I am looking to buy this tool box. However, near the bottom, there are two empty holes, I am wondering what they are? Is there a piece missing? Seller asks for $50. Is it a reasonable price? Thanks!

Thats the front cover. Pull it out and it locks with two pins that come down from the top lid.

As was said, nothing is missing. Just try to pull the panel out. The two holes is for the lock pins from the top. I don't know the model of this one, I have a couple of 520 which comes with handle on the top.

Thanks. What do you think of this model? 520b seems much more expensive. One in such condition would be more than $150. Thanks.

Thats the 526 box, a bit wider than the 520.

Post pics of the plane and carving chisels too, that was a steal.

I've had that same box for 40 years, and, over time, have added a roller cabinet and a middle (two drawer) box. It makes a nice stack. The box you are looking at is a very good one.

Here's a catalogue sheet for that box, as noted the front panel stores in the bottom, which is usual for machinist's boxes. I'd buy that at $50.

When you pull the front cover out, if you do, you may notice a couple of marks running from top to bottom on the face of the cover. I put a little tape on mine to reduce that a little.
