Does this look like 1600 PSI? Pressure washer not working

Hi. I got this small pressure washer years ago, used once and stored. Motor makes noise, seems like pressure increases a tiny bit, but I think it's far from what it should be. I tend to think it's not an obstruction if there is a stream when it's turned off.

Watch video to see water stream with power off and on.

Any thoughts?

By the way, I lost the 40 degree nozzle and I am not plugging the 5 degree nozzle cause the water doesn't even go through it. Not sure if it's clogged or just not enough pressure.

Thanks

What i see in the video is normal for an open hose. Put a tip on and you should see good performance.

Hey folks. I thought the motor itself would provide all the pressure and the tip was more to choose between different spray patterns. They even provide a soap dispenser that doesn't have a tip at all and connects directly to the first part of the "gun". With the turbo tip, yesterday water wouldn't even come out. I guess it was clogged. I put it back and everything seems to be working. I guess 1600 PSI is just not super strong. When I screw a "turbo nozzle-like" tip directly on the hose it seems almost as strong.

thanks

1600 psi will do a good job of cleaning, if you do it right. My wife tries to use our similar model, and every time i tell her to keep the nozzle no higher than her ankle. That lasts for 5 min, then i see she has higher than her knee. And then she complains that I bought a cheap or defective washer.

This thread doesn't smell right... I smell a troll. There was no clog... the OP is taking us for a ride.

First video showed the PW with no TIP.... second video showed with TURBO TIP installed. This whole thread is a TROLL. Notice It's been days and the OP has not been back

Foam cannon of sorts? You want your soap coming out gentle, before you blast anything away. THink washing your car. You don't want to hit a dirty car full pressure, soap & water to loosen everything before you give it a somewhat more forceful rinse.

You won't get any pressure without a tip in it.

And not only do you need a tip in order to build pressure, you need the correct-sized one. The big box home centers typically sell only one size. Consult a tip chart sizing table such as the one below in order to determine the correct orifice size for your pressure washer - too small and you can damage your pump seals - too large and you will lose pressure and cleaning effectiveness:

1600psi is lots..... IF you have lots of volume (gpm). However, machines like that (inexpensive retail) generally only have 1.2 to 1.5 gpm. Makes it seem that they are not going to do a lot of work.

They work. Just not as fast orcas easy as people would like. “This cheap POS. I paid $79 at costco and it took 2 hours to clean the deck”.

I have the same pressure washer, its a Greenworks, I think I paid $60 for it. It came with 2 tips, they tuck into a little holder on the side. I've had it for 5 years now and its been put through a lot. It's no gas pressure washer but I've used it on multiple project where it went all day long and just came back for more. I have one of the turbo tips for it, works great for concrete. The other tips are more for cars/decks/siding.

In center of towns which have high pedestrian traffic during daylight I use and electric washer on the sidewalks during night time cleaning jobs when around apartment complexes so as not to wake sleepers while I clean sidewalks.
